I founded Influencive to publish what we called unconventional wisdom from influential minds. From 2015 into the early 2020s we ran interviews and contributor columns on entrepreneurship, mindset, business, and personal development. We also wrote about crypto and blockchain in its early days.
I did many of the interviews myself. I talked with people like Scooter Braun, Wyclef Jean and Randi Zuckerberg about how they built their careers.
In the later years the site sold too much space. Paid placements and SEO spam crowded out the editorial work, and it got hard to tell which was which. I don't want my name on that.
This relaunch is the fix. I'm removing every paid placement and spam page. Those URLs return HTTP 410, the status code for content that is gone for good.
Each piece appears word for word under the name of the person who wrote it, dated the day it ran. Nothing has been rewritten or updated. If a column reads like 2017, that's because it was written in 2017.
These days I spend my time on Advising.com AI Labs, which I co-founded with Mickey Hardy, and on BDE Ventures, where we advise and invest in founders. My personal site, briandevans.com, has the rest.
